As we approach the end of the calendar year, we allow ourselves one last look at some of our favourite pieces that we said a fond farewell to over the last twelve months.

SOLD: This masterful Silvered Bronze Hawk on Torii Gate spread it’s wings and found a new home in the Middle-East

In many ways it has been another difficult year for the trade with the knock-on effects of Brexit, Covid, devastating Global events and many other challenges but we were very happy to see some familiar faces as well as well as to welcome some new customers at our North London galleries in 2023.

SOLD: This powerful Bronze Lion Dog can now be found guarding a fascinating collection on the other side of the pond

Over the course of the last 12 months, we have shipped Chinese and Japanese works of art across Europe, the Middle-East, North America and the Far-East. It is always a huge relief when we hear that a delicate and valuable piece has arrived safely at its new home.

SOLD: This impressive pair of vases by Suzuki Chokichi were acquired by a passionate collector in South-East Asia

Of course, we are always sorry to say goodbye to such beautiful pieces, but we take solace in the knowledge that these works of art are being enjoyed in wonderful new surroundings.

SOLD: The same customer also added this Bronze and multi-metal dish to his growing collection of magical Meiji works 

Fear not though, we are not in danger of running short of inventory any time soon with exciting new arrivals coming to the gallery on a weekly basis.
