£POA - What does POA mean?
Product Code: KPCE117
Simply put, POA stands for “Price on Application”.
With some of our pieces, we prefer not to openly publish our asking price. We absolutely welcome visitors to the website to contact us to enquire about the cost of such pieces.
We just prefer to have a conversation to allow us to explain the pricing as well as to talk in more detail about the piece in question.
It doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a super expensive piece but it may just be that there is something unique or special that we would like to be able to tell you about in more detail.

Goldfish
The distinctive telescope eye goldfish (Demekin in Japanese) was first bred in the 1700’s in China where it is known as the dragoneye goldfish. They are not found in the wild and do suffer from health problems due to the way they have been bred, nevertheless when properly cared for in captivity these goldfish can live for 10-15 years and grow up to 8 inches long.
Fish Bowl
The fish bowl is a kind of high sided Chinese jardinière, which used to be used to house fancy goldfish, they are also sometimes decorated with fish and sealife to the interior. We would not condone keeping fish in a fish bowl as they do not provide adequate size or filtration for any species.
Famille Verte
Famille Verte is a style of Chinese porcelain decoration that uses a palette of greens.
Famille Juan
Famille juan is a style of decoration which has a large proportion of yellow usually in the ground, it is often combined with famille verte or rose foreground decoration.
