Yinglong
A Yinglong is a Chinese mythical dragon-like creature closely related to the Jiaolong and Panlong, they all are said to be winged forms of hornless dragon closely associated with the sea or rivers. Over time it’s origins have become lost and confused, but winged dragons with dominion of water often appear in Chinese and Japanese myths, they were often tattooed as emblems of protection. The Yinglong type dragon may have a basis in a real life animal the word jiaolong can sometimes be used to refer to a crocodile and there are records of ancient and fairly recent street peddlers selling the fossilised teeth of Iguanadons as Jiaolong teeth.
Famille Verte
