We just prefer to have a conversation to allow us to explain the pricing as well as to talk in more detail about the piece in question.
It doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a super expensive piece but it may just be that there is something unique or special that we would like to be able to tell you about in more detail.

Shamisen
The Shamisen or Sangen is a traditional Japanese three stringed instrument, it has a sound similar to a banjo and is often used to accompany traditional Kabuki plays.
Goze
Goze is a historic term that refers to a visually impaired female, most of who were musicians. The term Goze is not offensive and is often paired with a respectful honorific such as San.
From the Edo period (1600-1868) Goze were incredibly organised and formed groups lead by a master musician, they would all live in one house and would often spend part of the year travelling playing their music. The organisation protected the women and provided safety and a reputation as well as an income.
