Makuzu Kozan
Makuzu Kozan was one of the most ground-breaking and influential ceramists of the Meiji Period (1868-1912), he won prizes at over 50 fairs and exhibitions including the National Industrial Exhibition and the World’s Fair and was appointed to the Japanese Imperial Household. He is known for his elaborate individual style and use of 3D moulding and glazing techniques.
