Spider
In Japan spotting a spider has a double meaning depending on what time of day it is there is a common saying – “Let spiders live in the morning, kill spiders at night” seeing a spider in the morning will bring good luck, but seeing one in the evening will bring bad luck as it could be a yokai (goblin or bad spirit) disguised as a spider. This of course is a myth, the best course of action is to let the spider be.
Shakudo is an alloy of gold and copper which can be treated to develop a black patina.
